WELCOME!!! To our classroom BlogPortal. Have fun learning about us.
We are having a great year in Room 5.
We are an Enviroschool at Newstead.
This means that our environment is very important to us and we care about the earth and everything natural.
We know that;
ONE PERSON CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE!
The Lorax
Newstead school produced a show of the Lorax. We learnt about conservation so this story was very relevant to our classwork. The Lorax wanted to save the trees so all the animals could have a clean environment to live in. We need to think like this so we can help the Earth.
We know that 'ONE PERSON CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE'.

This is the Lorax, he speaks for the trees for the trees have no tongues, he speaks to the Once-ler at the top of his lungs.
The Lorax also speaks for the Brown Barbaloots, the Humming Fish and the Swomee Swans.
What can be done to save the Truffala Trees?

CITIZENSHIP
We learned a lot about citizenship in term one and two. It is important to be a good citizen. At school we practice citizenship by using the virtues, being polite, sticking to the rules and looking after each other.
Sometimes some of us forget and we have to remind each other about what is right.
These are some photos of our work and the rubric we use to keep track of our behaviour, learning and citizenship skills.

Our room looks great with all of our work everywhere.
